Maine DOT bid documents ask bidders on its construction projects for bid security, usually a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount.

Maine Performance & Payment Bond

Maine's Public Works Contractors' Surety Bond Law of 1971 requires a performance bond and a payment bond on public works contracts over $125,000.

Maine Contractor License Bond
